One donation, double the difference: Amala is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024

We are delighted to announce that Amala is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge again this year. All donations made during the Christmas Challenge week, from 3rd to 10th December, will be doubled!

We will be raising money for our programmes in Kenya and Jordan, which will enable us to continue to deliver transformational education to displaced and host community youth.

Thanks to the generous support of the Waterloo Foundation and an individual donor, every pound donated during the seven days of the campaign (via our Big Give project page only) will be matched.

We have an ambitious goal to raise £10,000, which will total £20,000 when doubled, enabling 200 refugee youth in Jordan and Kenya to access an education that will help them to turn their hopes for their futures into reality.

If you would like to help get us there, there are a few things you can do:

Before 3 December:

  • Save the date for midday (GMT) on 3 December, when the donate button will appear on our Big Give project page. Click here to add a reminder to your calendar. Donations on the first day of the campaign are crucial, as they help to build early momentum to get us to the target.

  • Sign up to our newsletter for updates about the campaign, materials to help share with your networks, and all the latest from the Amala community!

  • Tell your network that Amala will be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge - and how they can be involved with expanding hope for refugee youth. Follow us on social media to stay up to date with the campaign and to easily share our posts.

During the week, 3 - 10 December

  • Donate! From 12 noon (GMT) on Tuesday 3 December until the same time on 10 December, every pound you give via the Big Give website will be doubled, and every donation will make a difference.

  • Share with your networks - Sharing our campaign with your network, friends, and family on social media or email can have a big impact, helping us reach more people who care about transforming education for refugee youth and growing our community of supporters.
